UGLi Meetings

UGLi meets twice a year at the ALA Annual and Midwinter meetings. In addition, an informal dinner is held on the Sunday evening before the meeting.

Information about the meetings (agenda, meeting time and location, etc.) will be posted here prior to each conference.

2012 ALA Annual in Anaheim

Location: Disneyland Hotel - Grand Ballroom North
Topic: Join undergraduate librarians as we discuss and share ideas and issues surrounding library services and collections geared specifically for undergraduates. There is also an opportunity to hear news and highlights from peer institutions.

Based on feedback from the last Discussion Group meeting at Midwinter, we have had a request to use one of the two hours for a focused conversation about the work in libraries around the first year experience. We were not able to change the general description of our meeting in the program, but please forward this on to anyone who may be interested in the first year topic in particular.

We'll use the first hour of the meeting (8am-9am) for discussion of library opportunities to work with first year experience initiatives, and the second hour will include a round-robin sharing of any issues of interest from participating librarians regarding undergraduate library services in general.
