reading rooms and study spaces
Welcome!
Welcome to the Louis Round Wilson Special Collections Library! We encourage the use of the library and its collections by students, scholars, visiting researchers, and the general public. In addition to two reading rooms devoted to the use of special collections materials, there are several quiet study areas available in Wilson Library.
READING ROOMS FOR SPECIAL COLLECTIONS MATERIALS
Following the completion by first-time research visitors of our registration process, in-person assistance with finding and retrieving collection materials is provided at two services desks within Wilson Library.

Both Special Collections reading rooms are secure spaces open only to those seeking assistance with or using collection materials. There are lockers available for personal belongings not permitted in the reading rooms. Wireless access is available in both reading rooms. Food and beverages of any kind are not permitted.
STUDY SPACES
Quiet study areas in Wilson Library do not require registration. We welcome the use of these areas by anyone seeking a quiet place to study. Wireless access is available in both areas. Because of the proximity to unique and rare collection materials, food and beverages are not permitted in these areas. We encourage quiet studiers to consume food and beverages in the Wilson Library lobby or on the front steps overlooking Polk Place.
